Health Care for America Now Partners with FotoViewr to Launch New Interactive Online Photo Display
Washington, DC — April 6, 2009 — Health Care for America Now (HCAN) – the nation’s largest health care campaign - has partnered with FotoViewr to create a new interactive visual display campaign launching this week. The project incorporates the HCAN “NOW” logo and uses individual pictures to provide an interactive 3D experience that users can manipulate with their mouse. Like the FotoViewr for Flickr slideshow widget, the Health Care for America Now display also features picture linking capabilities.

The new display project will appear on the front page of the Health Care for America Now website (healthcareforamericanow.org) beginning Monday, April 6th, 2009 to coincide with the start of the April congressional recess. The customized Health Care for America Now media project was undertaken and headed up personally by FotoViewr founder and lead developer Pek Pongpaet. The images that comprise the NOW display are photos from HCAN partner events taking place around the country over the next three weeks. HCAN is sponsoring 96 events in 44 states with more than 15,000 people and more than 30 Members of Congress to stress the urgent need for quality, affordable health care for all in 2009.

Today’s been a crazy day for FotoViewr. I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep again tonight. It got picked up by tons of sites and blogs. I’ve never even heard of these sites. What do these people do all day long?

• Killer Startups has a pretty good write up on FotoViewr. I don’t know if it’s a killer startup, but I’ll take it.
• Original Signal Web 2.0, a human filtered content aggragator has a post on FotoViewr.
• Feed My App, your daily web 2.0 dose, has a post.
• Jeetblog, a tech and productivity blog, posted a review of FotoViewr detailing the pros and cons. Excellent.
• Web20Share, a Chinese blog on all things web 2.0, has a post.
• French Paperblog, (the best of blogs apparently), posted a glowing review of FotoViewr. Merci beaucoup.
• This Japanese blog took the time to take several screenshots of the FotoViewr site.
• Infoweb, another Italian blog, has some screen shots of great FotoViewr photo galleries.

The FotoViewr’s website design has been featured on CSS Mania, a CSS gallery site that showcases beautiful website designs from all over the Internet.

• Visual Beta, a Spanish blog about applications online and offline has a nice writeup of FotoViewr.
• Clickblog, an Italian blog on digital photograhy, emphasizes how easy it is to use FotoViewr. Everybody’s asking for embeddable FotoViewr. It’s coming guys.
• German tech blog mmyNews mentions FotoViewr.

I consider it at honor that the Papervision guys thought FotoViewr was cool enough to mention on their blog.

Papervision is the open source 3D Flash library that was used to create the stunning FotoViewr galleries.
